March 15, 1864 - Tuesday - 160 years ago today

Status - John Baer - 40th Indiana Regiment - Granger's Corps - Sheridan's Division - Wagner's Brigade 

 East Tennessee remains static at this time; searching continues for Longstreet's Confederates.  Some troops are ordered to the east, and new regiments are expected, some coming from Indiana.

Grant and Sherman confer in Nashville about the coming campaign, and Grant then returns east to focus on the campaign there; Sherman is entrusted with the advance in Georgia.
