August 3rd:. Left late afternoon to return to Seeadler Harbor, Admiralty Islands. Temperatures 70s-80s, light to moderate breezes.
August 4th:Underway all day. Temperatures 70s-80s, light to moderate breezes.
August 5th: Arrived Seeadler Harbor early afternoon, moored rest of day, Fueling in the evening. Temperatures 70s-80s, light to moderate breezes.
August 6th: Moored all day at Seeadler Harbor. Temperatures 70s-80s, light breezes.

Fighting continues to recapture Guam in the Marianas. The Sansapor landings had met only light resistance, and work was soon begun on airfields, radars, and bases.
Allied forces captured Florence, Italy on August 4th.
